Why should we have our wedding videotaped?
This is one of the most important events of your life. Video captures the sights,the sounds, and the excitement - still photos can't. With a wedding video, you can relive the events of the day and share them with friends and relatives who were not there, including your children.

Our friend has a video camera. Why not have him tape the ceremony for us?
Asking a friend or relative to record your wedding is risky. Non-professioinals don't have the experience or equipment to do the job right. You end up with shaky, out-of-focus shots and poor sound. And there's a good chance they will miss some important, once-in-a-lifetime shots.

How is sound at the wedding ceremony and reception recorded?
We use broadcast-quality wireless and camera-mounted microphones and special audio recorders to capture all the sounds and events of the day.

Does our DVD include chapter selection menus?
Yes. Chapter markers are included for the many events at the reception, including your arrival, the cutting of the cake, first dances, toasts, garter and bouquet tosses, and more.

How long before we receive our completed DVDs?
On average, allow three to six weeks after the date of your wedding. This may vary depending on the wedding package you choose, the time of year, and how long it takes you to receive your still photos, which we use to create the DVD menus.

How will Heartland know what we want in our finished wedding video?
Before your wedding day we will schedule a time to sit down with you and carefully review the timeline and important elements of your wedding day. We'll attend your wedding rehearsal. And when it's approipriate, we will share other ideas with you that we think might make your finished DVD even better.

How do we figure out what coverage we need?
We have three different wedding video packages to choose from, or we will work with you to customize one that suits your specific needs and budget. All our prices are listed on our Packages & Prices page. You can also download a printable list of our packages and pricing

Can we include customized titles?
Yes. If you provide the names and roles of the members of your wedding party, we can incorporate them into a title sequence much like the credits you see in a feature film. You may also include a prayer, poem, or a message to your friends and family as part of your custom titles.

How do we reserve our date?
First, check our Online Calendar to make sure your date is available. If it is, call 515-988-6063 or email jeff@heartlandvideos to reserve your wedding date. We will arrange a meeting where we will confirm the wedding package, review our contract with you, and reserve your date.
